Tell us a little bit about you & your business.

After 20 years of baking for fun, I had my mid-life adventure and spent four months in Chicago studying cake design at the French Pastry School. Now I create delicious, beautiful cakes and all sorts of desserts for weddings and other special occasions. In the summertime, you can find my pies, cookies and brownies at Merrifield Farm Stand in Porter. During the holidays, watch for my gingerbread creations. Cakes for All Seasons really is about “cakes, sweets & other treats.”

What makes your business different?

Meeting clients for personalized cakes tastings and design consultations is a joy. Planning from away? Most samples can be shipped. I’m always up for an adventure and love creating new things for my clients’ menus.

Why do you like working at Hardy Farm?

Besides being both elegant and rustic, Hardy Farm is close by. I love seeing how each family personalizes the venue which can accommodate big groups under the tent and small groups in the barn. Winter weddings by candlelight are magical.
